Inuvil PrammaSri N.Veeramani Ayer composed it. His instant composition on Chuttipuram Amman for Seeragazi's recital- "Chuttipuram Kannakiye" was an instant hit !

Nagalingam Ethirveerasingam - won first Gold Medal for Sri Lanka in an

international meet -  won Gold Medal and set Asian games record in

High Jump in 1958 in Tokyo, Japan. Old boy of  Jaffna Central College.  He is my favourite athlete of all times. I am doing some basic work to write a book about him.

Balu Mahendra (Bala.Mahendran)

Master craftsman in the Tamil field - from "Nellu" in Malayalam, "Kokila" in Kannadam, "Mullum Malarum" in Tamil - Moondram Pirai, Moodu Pani, Maru Padiyum, Veedu, Sathi Leelavati - what an array of films to his credit.

A SriLankan by birth has done something great in Small Screen also -

"Kathai Neram"  was well received. Radio Ceylon actor of yesteryears......

S. Vilvaratnam - Poet par excellence from Pungudutivu. First  time when I read his poetry about the appearance of a harvested paddy field in a magazine from London, he became my favorite immediately.  Recently, I had the opportunity of reading ' Katru Veli Kiramam' - a heart rendering poetry. In Nallur Kanthasamy Temple, everyday you can hear the scintilating nathaswaram music from Alaveddi N.K.Pathmanathan. He and Kondavil Balakrishnan are my favourite Nathaswaram players from Jaffna. I had the chance to hear him again in Canada and also used a clip of his performance in my film "Menmaiyana Vairangal"
